Just got my boots for the trip. Sidi Discovery Rain boots. Tried em on and wore them around the office after removing the metal toe tabs. I will be testing them on a short trip to shake out my riding gear soon. I need to see how they feel while operating shift and brake levers. Since they are rainproof I expect them to be hot. If I can stand the heat, they seem to be just the ticket for all day comfort riding or walking thru town as we plan to do each evening. They seem to offer good protection for the ankle and shin too.
